Papers, Networking and Great Blogs

 

This week has been a great week for me.  I have a cousin who is in the process of finishing her Masters degree.  She really does have her hands full with being a full-time nurse, mother to two young kids and being a wife.  She convinced me to write her final paper for her marketing class.  I’m pretty lucky to have tons of free time since I have my own business, so I wrote her marketing plan paper and emailed it off to her.  She called me last night damn near in tears thanking me.  She/We received an “A” on the paper.  It felt really great helping her out.  She’s been there for me through alot of things in my life.  Plus I feel good knowing I still have some writing chops.  I’ve been out of college for 6 years now so it’s nice to know that I can still buckle down like that if I wanted to go for my Masters degree as well.

I was also nominated for the Bootylicious Blog of the Week Award by The Muse.  I am so touched by this award.  You all have to check out her blog!  I love her writing style.  She blogs about body image, foreplay, photography, poetry etc…  It is truly a blog not to be missed.

Last but not least Da Vinci’s Blog sent me a great email this morning referring me to http://theblackbusinesscafe.ning.com/  It’s a great networking website for Black business professionals and entrepreneurs.  I joined immediately and found my new graphic designer www.fcgwdesigns.com there.  Their prices are so reasonable and they do great design work.  So, if your looking to have a web page done I highly reccommend them.
