Never Staying at The Beverly Hilton Again!

I will never stay at this Hilton again!  My cousin came to Beverly Hills on sunday from out of town and I was nice enough to show her around.  For the next two days I showed her around and used the hotel’s self parking services.  I wanted to be nice so I offered to pay for the self parking.

On the last day I was there I gave the front desk my debit card to pay for the parking and was given a receipt.  That night when I checked my bank statement I saw one charge of $635 and two charges of $150!  They were using my card for her room and other services.   When I contacted the Hilton I was told by their night manager Mr. Chris Rearigan that they would continue charging my card and wouldn’t release it until my cousin checked out in the next 3 days!  They charged almost $1,000 in charges by this morning.  I had to put a stop to a few checks I sent out for bills because they wouldn’t stop charging my card.  They were no help at all though what they are doing is illegal.

I had to call my bank this morning and had them take off those charges and block any further charges from the Hilton.

I have traveled all around the world and have never had this happen to me.  Not even a Motel 6 could screw up this badly.

Maybe they thought I was wealthy and wouldn’t notice these charges, but being a small business owner I notice everything lol.  If you do decided to stay there just be warned that they charge your card for your stay plus an additional $150 per day while you are there.  Be smart and pay CASH if you can.  These past 2 days have been hell for me because of them.

  1. I had something similar happen. I made a reservation for someone. I understood that if they were a no-show, that I was liable. We both get to the hotel and two different clerks help us. As the other guy goes to the elevator, I walk to the clerk that helped him and said “I want to confirm that John gave you his card, as I used my card to hold the room.” Yes, he did you’re all set.
You can guess what happened – a month later his room is on my charge card, and Visa tells me that I gave my number so I am liable. I had to hound ‘John’ to get my money, he swore he paid on his own card, but could not produce a statement with the charge.
I will never reserve a room for anyone again.
