Today Is Our Anniversary & We’re Doing Nothing

Today is my 2 year anniversary with the fiance.  We are doing absolutely nothing.  It’s strange how we’ve gotten to this point of not celebrating it.  It’s a far cry from living it up at the Regent Beverly Wilshire, fine dining and shopping  last year to just relaxing on the sofa watching The Last King of Scotland this year.  At first I was a little bothered that we didn’t plan anything but I’m slowly getting over it.  I think he sensed it this morning and offered to take us out to brunch but I declined.  It’s just not the same.  I guess I make a big deal out of it because we don’t celebrate anything else except our birthdays.

Ok, I need to stop whining and appreciate that we’ve had 2 great years together.

Is your anniversary a big deal to you?  What’s the best celebration you’ve had with it?

Till next time…

  1. Congrats…I believe everyday you spend with your loved one is worth celebrating. So no worries…to be able to do absolutely nothing with one another is perhaps the most blissful thing you can find in this world.

  2. Congratulations on your 2 years. :]

Anniversaries are important, to me, to a certain extent. I don’t need fancy dinners & expensive gifts to feel like our anniversary has been acknowledged. All I truly want with my husband is a quiet evening alone, whether it be out of the house, or staying in. I’m very low-key, though, & so is he… so we’re far from temperamental. As long as it’s acknowledged in some way (a card, a kiss, a “happy anniversary baby!”) I’m good. :]

  3. CONGRATS!! When in the big day?
